I have the coolest job in the whole world. People bring me problems, and I get to help them for free. And if I actually come up with a solution, I give it ways. It's the best job in the whole world, "Professional Mad Scientist". If we knew how to solve these problems it wouldn't be "science", and if anyone else was doing it, it wouldn't be "mad".

This book is a collection of mad science stories from across my bizarre career. From AI tools for CIA spooks to turning my son into a cyborg, I share stories of my work and the absurd delusion, surely born from too much science fiction in my childhood (a period of my life not yet ended), that a person can help build a better world, not matter how terrible the problem.
